Genetic Testing Panel

HCM (MyBPC3 A31P)

All cats N/N Clear

Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy — the most critical test for Maine Coons. All breeding cats are DNA tested via Wisdom Panel.

SMA

Queens N/N Clear

Spinal Muscular Atrophy — a neurodegenerative condition. Queens confirmed clear by parentage. King testing in progress.

PKDef

All cats N/N Clear

Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency — a red blood cell disorder. All breeding cats are DNA tested via Wisdom Panel.

Veterinary Protocol

  • ✦ All kittens are examined by our licensed veterinarian before placement
  • ✦ Pre-go-home health certificate issued by our veterinarian
  • ✦ FVRCP and Rabies vaccinations per AAFP schedule
  • ✦ Deworming protocol from 2 weeks of age
  • ✦ Microchipped before go-home
  • ✦ Fecal testing for parasites
  • ✦ All queens and kings are FIV/FeLV screened — negative

Diet & Nutrition

Oronovo kittens are raised on a species-appropriate diet of high-quality wet food and grain-free kibble. Early introduction to varied foods — starting as young as three weeks — helps develop healthy, adaptable eaters.

A detailed feeding guide and starter food sample go home with every kitten.

Socialization

Weeks 1–4

Daily handling and weighing from the first week. Exposure to varied textures, sounds, and light.

Weeks 4–8

Introduction to dogs, visitors, household appliances, and outdoor sounds through secure windows.

Weeks 8–14

Leash introduction, carrier conditioning, car rides, nail trim conditioning, and bonding before go-home.

Registration

All Oronovo kittens are registered with TICA (The International Cat Association). Oronovo is a registered cattery with both TICA and CFA (Cat Fanciers' Association). Our breeding cats carry verified Italian pedigrees through ANFI/FIFe and AGI/WCF.

Spay / Neuter Policy

All Oronovo kittens are spayed or neutered by our veterinarian before go-home. This is included in the kitten price — no additional cost to you.
