Why We Breed
Oronovo Maine Coons is owned and operated by Maria Lee, PhD, MBA in Northern California's Redwood Coast. We are the direct breeder of all our kittens — born and raised in our home cattery in California.
Oronovo began the way many deep passions do — with a single, unforgettable cat. The day our first Maine Coon came home, something shifted. The intelligence in her eyes, the way she communicated, the sheer presence of her in a room — we knew this was a breed unlike any other.
Years of research, relationships with Italian breeders, and careful study of genetics led us here: a small, intentional program focused entirely on health, temperament, and type.
Our home sits beneath ancient Redwood trees on the Northern California coast. Our cats bask in filtered forest light, and sleep in our beds at night. This environment, we believe, shapes the calm confidence our kittens carry into their forever homes.
Every kitten that leaves Oronovo takes a piece of the Redwood Forest with them.

Our Philosophy
Quality Over Quantity
We have 1–2 litters per year. This is not a limitation — it is the point. Each kitten receives our full attention, from birth to go-home day.
